Medical Emergency Forces Reeves & Mortimer to Cancel City Hall Dates

28 Oct 2015

Comedian Bob Mortimer has undergone a successful triple bypass heart operation. Because of this, the first leg of the upcoming UK tour ‘25 Years of Reeves and Mortimer – The Poignant Moments’ has been cancelled, including dates at Sheffield City Hall on Tuesday 24th November and Tuesday 1st December 2015.

Sheffield City Hall would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by this announcement and wish Bob Mortimer a speedy recovery during his period of rest and recuperation.

All ticket holders are advised to contact their point of purchase for a full refund. Please direct any queries to Sheffield City Hall’s Box Office.

All customers who booked through Sheffield City Hall's Box Office will be immediately refunded and, depending on your bank, refunds should be processed within seven to ten days. If you don't receive anything within this time please contact your point of purchase.

A spokesperson for Bob Mortimer said: “Bob would like to thank his Consultant and all the nursing staff at the hospital for looking after him so well. He now needs several weeks to fully recover, so unfortunately the first leg of the UK tour will be cancelled. Bob very much hopes to be fit and well enough to perform the second leg in January next year.”

Bob's comedy partner, Vic Reeves, said: "I'm so pleased the operation has gone well and Bob is fixed. Many thanks to the surgeon."
