Tramlines Fringe in the Ballroom: Oathbreaker, Myrkur (Exclusive Solo Set) & More

Saturday, 22 Jul 2017

Start Time: 14:20

Doors Open: 14:00

Alternative music returns to Sheffield City Hall’s stunning art deco Ballroom for Tramlines 2017, lead by headliners Oathbreaker. The Belgian group’s 2016 record ‘Rheia’, their second on Deathwish Records, won widespread acclaim for its dynamic, diverse approach to black metal, tinged with post rock, hardcore and shoegaze.

A rare solo set from Myrkur, the black metal project of Danish multi-instrumentalist Amalie Bruun, promises to be an immersive experience, ditching her full band for a beguiling journey into Scandinavian folk music.

Wolverhampton’s God Damn will showcase the riff-laden, grungey, infectious noise that has won them support slots with the likes of Foo Fighters, Thrice and Wolf Alice.

Reunited after a three year hiatus, Gallops released their second album 'Bronze Mystic' this year to rave reviews, blending electronica and experimental rock to powerful effect.

The eclectic bill also includes atmospheric stoner rock from Black Moth, dazzling technical math rock from Body Hound, intense instrumental rock from VASA, glacial indie electronica from Dark Dark Horse and dreamy post rock from Waking Aida.

Entry to Tramlines Fringe in the Ballroom is just £2 on the door. Tramlines Festival passes do not include entry to this event.
